Biography: 

Shirley Boyd is chiefly responsible for the financial oversight and management, human resources, and the day-to-day business operations for the Patel College of Global Sustainability. She has been a ºÚÁÏÍø³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏBull for approximately 21 years, working closely with leadership, faculty, and staff on the Tampa campus with budgeting, financial reporting, accounting, purchasing, annual performance evaluations, tenure promotion applications, and human resources. She is a Muma College of Business alumna with a CRA-USF/Advanced designation and is a recipient of a ºÚÁÏÍø³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏOutstanding Staff award. Prior to joining USF, Shirley brought 15 years of experience providing administrative support and financial management at LaGuardia Community College in Long Island City, N.Y., where she is also an alumna, and Bank Street College of Education in New York City, where she served as the grants accountant, working closely with the controller, vice president of finance, department heads, and Deloitte & Touche Accounting Firm.

Randall Pape

Biography: 

Randall has been part of the ºÚÁÏÍø³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏcommunity for more than 20 years, beginning as an MBA student and Graduate Assistant, and later serving as USF’s Graduate Student President. When the global sustainability program was founded in 2010, he joined as its first academic administrator, helping lay the foundation for what became the Patel College of Global Sustainability (PCGS) in 2013. For the past 15 years, he has played a key role in the college’s growth and transformation.

As Assistant Director of Academic Services, Randall oversees admissions, supports marketing initiatives, and partners with faculty to develop and approve curriculum through the university system. He contributes significantly to accreditation by preparing essential reports and ensuring compliance, while also collaborating with university leadership to implement graduate student policies and uphold academic standards. Drawing on his military and professional background, Randall thrives in interdisciplinary settings and is committed to empowering a diverse student population. His leadership has advanced PCGS programs, strengthened the student experience, and furthered the college’s mission of preparing leaders in global sustainability.

Biography:

Monick Lima leads the college’s communications and marketing team. In this role, she develops and implements strategies to enhance brand visibility, strengthen community engagement, organize events, and support student recruitment. She oversees digital content, media relations, and event promotion, ensuring the college’s mission and achievements reach local, national, and international audiences. At the Patel College, her leadership has driven exponential increases in social media performance, website engagement, and event attendance.

With 17 years of marketing experience and a decade of specialization in social media and digital content, Monick is passionate about leveraging storytelling and data-driven strategies to connect organizations with their audiences. Her expertise spans content strategy, event planning, visual design, video production, copywriting, SEO, and e-mail marketing. A proud ºÚÁÏÍø³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏalumna, Monick earned her MBA with a specialization in Creativity & Innovation. She also holds a Master’s degree in Digital Marketing and a Bachelor’s degree in Advertising. Born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, she brings a global perspective to advancing the college’s vision of sustainability through impactful storytelling and strategic communication.

Kareem Rhodd

Biography:

Originally from New York with Caribbean heritage, Kareem relocated to Florida to pursue his undergraduate studies at the ºÚÁÏÍø³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ (USF), where he earned dual bachelor’s degrees in International/Global Affairs and African Studies. Kareem’s global perspective is enriched by his international experiences. He participated in Operation Crossroads Africa, a New York–based study abroad initiative inspired by the principles of the Peace Corps under former President John F. Kennedy. Additionally, he joined a ºÚÁÏÍø³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏglobal exchange program in Kenya through the University of Minnesota’s International Development Program (MSID). These programs focused on cross-cultural engagement, community development, construction, agroforestry, HIV/AIDS awareness, family planning, youth empowerment, and service learning with local organizations and youth orphanages.

With more than 15 years of experience in higher education, Kareem has served in diverse roles including Financial Aid Officer, Program Coordinator, Academic and Health Professions Advisor, and Success Coach. In his current role as Academic Services Administrator at the Patel College of Global Sustainability, he is dedicated to supporting student success, promoting global citizenship, and advancing the college’s mission of sustainability and interdisciplinary learning.

Biography:

Hailing from the breathtaking coast of Punta Gorda, Belize, Dayne's journey to our college was driven by the desire to unite two of his passions: technology and sustainability. Dayne, currently pursuing his M.S. degree in computer engineering at USF, is a self-proclaimed tech guru who spends most of his time programming and exploring the latest technological advancements. When not programming, Dayne's life is enriched by his deep love for music -- writing, producing, and fully immersing himself in the art of sound.  Before joining USF, Dayne dedicated his time to working with the Turneffe Atoll Sustainability Association, using his expertise to promote the conservation of marine ecosystems through the association's groundbreaking initiatives in Belize. Now, he brings that same dedication to our college to spread the message of global sustainability.

Biography:

Kamiran grew up in Port Saint Lucie, Florida, where she developed a strong interest in science. She is majoring in Biomedical Sciences to pursue a career in academic research. Kamiran currently works in the Marketing Department, where she helps with working the ºÚÁÏÍø³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏBull Market every Wednesday, organizing the marketing room, and assisting the marketing team with updating posters, flyers, and other promotional materials.

Evaristo Soto

Biography: 

A lifelong Floridian majoring in mechanical engineering, Evaristo mastered the use of Adobe Premiere Pro video editing software more than four years ago, while still in high school, and specializes in quickly producing quality videos. Driven by a passion for all aspects of life and adventure, he has multiple interests, including technology, woodworking, music, hiking, gardening, photography, botany, and art history.

Biography:

Madison is currently a first-year student working towards a B.S. in Secondary Science Education with a concentration in biology. In her hometown: Chalfont, Pennsylvania, she gained hands-on experience student-teaching at a local middle school, strengthening her passion for education and academics. She is passionate about multiple disciplines and driven to inspire curiosity and excitement about science and learning. Even in her current role, Madison is committed to building engaging and supportive learning environments. Outside of the workplace, she is involved in scientific research and enjoys reading, painting, dance, travelling, and hiking.
