05/29/25 — Souheil Zekri, Ph.D., was recently honored with the 2023-2024 ºÚÁÏÍø³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏOutstanding Undergraduate Teaching Award. Dr. Zekri serves as an associate professor and director of the Senior Capstone courses in the ºÚÁÏÍø³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏMedical Engineering Department. His teaching philosophy is grounded in an ethical framework of care, empathy, and inclusivity.

Olukemi Akintewe, ºÚÁÏÍø³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏEngineering Professor, Recognized as an AIMBE Emerging Leader

12/02/24 — Olukemi Akintewe, an Associate Professor of Instruction in Medical Engineering at USF, has been named an inaugural AIMBE Emerging Leader. Recognized for her advocacy for women and underrepresented groups in STEM, she leads efforts to improve retention and support systems for these students. Dr. Akintewe will be honored at the AIMBE Annual Event in March 2025 in Washington, D.C., where she looks forward to collaborating with other leaders and mentors.
