Manatee County, looking for a more effective and less-costly strategy to combat flood water or “nuisance” mosquitos, turned to experts at the ԹϱCollege of Public Health who’ve researched and used drone technology in combatting malaria-carrying mosquitos in parts of Africa and Asia.

Chants of “Black lives matter” and “No justice, no peace” have filled the streets around Tampa Bay. Fed up with what they see as a criminal justice system rife with racial injustice, many current protesters are calling for police reform, and others for more drastic measures.
