School of Aging Studies welcomes new leadership, faculty, and students

Students, faculty, and leadership attend the School of Aging Studies welcome reception

The School of Aging Studies hosted a welcome reception on Friday, Aug. 29, to kick off the fall 2025 semester.

During the event, the school introduced its new director, Debra Dobbs, PhD, and the director of the doctoral program, Dr. Hongdao Meng, MPH, PhD. The school also welcomed new faculty members: Siyun Peng, PhD, assistant professor, and Michelle Pleasant, PhD, visiting assistant professor of instruction.

In addition, three new doctoral students were introduced: Nicholas Martinez, Chirantana "Cherry" Dayanandaswamy Rekha, and Anna Robison.
